Josephine Dorothy Thurner (Byers) age 96 of Livonia, Michigan, passed away

on Saturday, October 21, 2023. She was born June 8, 1927 in Nelsonville, Ohio to Edward

and Mary (Guy) Byers.

Her family was very important to Josephine. She leaves behind her children: Judith of

Grand Rapids, Michigan, Deborah (Neil) Steiner of Blue Springs, Missouri, and

Christopher (Karen) of Caledonia, Michigan. Four Grandchildren: Matthew (Wendy) of

Denton, Texas, Derrick (Christina) of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Stephanie of Seattle,

Washington and Amanda of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Her beloved Great-Grandchildren:

Erin, Niko and Georgia. Josephine was preceded in death by her husband Robert and

daughter Diane. Josephine leaves behind many nieces and nephews and a special close

person of the family, Gail Caldarea of Warren, Michigan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 12pm at the West Chapel

at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 25800 West 10 Mile Rd. Southfield, Michigan 48083.
