 Warren Lee De Jong, age 84, of Grand Rapids, went to be with his Lord on Monday, October 23, 2023. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Esther. Warren will be lovingly remembered by his wife of six years, Marilyn; children, Lynne (Ron) Vriesman, John (Jane) De Jong; grandchildren, Alma Grace Vriesman, Noah Vriesman, Natalie De Jong, Audrey De Jong; brother, Paul (Sherri) De Jong; sister-in-law, Dorcas Cushman; step-children, Sharon (Ray) Haan, Susan (Jack) Doles, David (Wendy) Niewiek; 15 step-grandchildren and their spouses; and nine step great-grandchildren. A private family graveside service has taken place at Winchester Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Covenant Christian Reformed Church, 7171 Willard Ave. SE, on Thursday, October 26, from 6 - 8 pm and Friday, October 27, from 10:30 - 11:15 am.  A memorial service will begin at 11:30 am on Friday with Rev. Jeff Vanderhooft officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Streams of Hope.

We will miss Warren. Always enjoyed his smile and upbeat personality when he would visit us each winter. Truly one of the good guys.

I will remember Warren as a blessing to all who knew him. He was a man of deep faith who showed much concern and love for others! He will be so missed! My sincere sympathy to the entire family. I’m praying for your comfort and peace.
