On Saturday, October 21, 2023, Robert E. Sabin, age 90, of Byron Center, received from his Lord and Savior the place Jesus had prepared for him. Bob proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was a Tool and Die maker for General Motors and retired after 30 years. He loved to fish. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; and three siblings. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Steven (Patricia) Sabin, Joy Lonsway, Ruth (Kerry) Widder, Michael (Tammy) Sabin; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Ron (Ellen) Sabin, Barbara (Ken) Bylsma, Neil Sabin; and many nieces and nephews.  A visitation will be held on Friday, October 27, from 9:30 - 10:30 am followed by the funeral service at 10:30 am at Stroo Funeral Home. Rev. Brian Cederquist and Rev. Steven Sabin will officiate. Interment will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Good News Baptist Church.
