Deloris A. Davenport, age 93, of Grand Rapids, went to be with her Lord on Monday, September 4, 2023. Deloris enjoyed helping others, gardening, baking and was an avid dog lover. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Robert Davenport; son, Timothy Davenport; sisters, Kathryn (Graydon) Brewster, and Uyvonne (Perry) Johnson. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, James Davenport, Susan and Alan Hall; six grandchildren, Justin (Jennifer) Davenport, Joel (Jenelle) Davenport, Matthew (Amber) Hall, Steven Hall, Derek (Jennifer) Davenport, and Philip Davenport; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family will greet visitors on Tuesday, September 12, from 10 - 11 am at Stroo Funeral Home, with the funeral service following at 11 am. Pastor Brian Cederquist will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Six Lakes, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good News Baptist Church or Corewell Health Foundation - Kalamazoo Campus Resident Life Fund.
