Bruce Roy Smith, age 68, of Caledonia, went to his heavenly home on Sunday, August 27, 2023. He was preceded in death by his sister, Debra Shanklin. Bruce will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Linda; children, Cara (Chris) Marvin, Laura (Marcus) DeJong, Brett (Rachel) Smith; grandchildren, Alayna and Logan Marvin, Dimitri, Grant, Anya, Constance, and Seth DeJong, Kaylin, Ethan, Dillan, and Jaxon Smith; brother and sisters, David (Lily) Smith, Cynthia (Daniel) O'Brien, Linda (Scott) Anderson; sisters-in-law, Peggy (Jerry) Phillips, Coral (Mark) Hoffmann; and many nieces and nephews. The family will greet visitors on Friday, September 1, from  10 - 11 am at Grace United Reformed Church, 9255 84th St. SE, where the funeral service will begin at 11 am. Rev. Doug Barnes will officiate. Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Reformed Church or Faith Hospice.
