Matt Sommer, age 47, of Grand Rapids, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 13, 2023. Matt enjoyed his remote-control cars, tinkering and working on cars, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jack Fleeman, Jeffrey Fleeman; and stepfather, Jerry Little. He will be deeply missed by his mother, Lacy Little; children, Alyssa, Matthew, and Destiny; brothers, John (Angela) Dulyea, Charles Sommer; sister, Misty Newsom; and many nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 24, from 4 - 5 pm at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE, followed by the memorial service at 5 pm. Pastor Tad Gates will officiate. Memorial contributions in memory of Matt may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
