David Brace, age 85, went to his heavenly home and is safe in the arms of Jesus on May 4, 2023.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Rosalie Brace.  He graduated from Muskegon High School, and later moved to Grand Rapids, where he graduated from Aquinas College with an accounting degree.  He loved animals, especially his cat, Little Bear, enjoyed his model railroading and always looked forward to when it was his turn to teach Sunday School with the deaf group at church.  He leaves behind his wife, Phyllis of nearly 60 years.  He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Mike and Liz Brace, and Sheryl Brace; grandchildren, Katelin, Xander, and Wyatt Brace and Trevor and Kelly Brace; great-grandsons, Franklin, and Cecile Brace.  A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 10, at 1:00 PM at Plainfield Baptist Church, 1750 Woodworth St. NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525.  There will be a time for fellowship following the service.  Pastor William Swem will officiate.  Interment will be in Rosedale Memorial Park.
