Dorothy I. Coulter, age 94, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 29, 2023. Dorothy was a very loving person, who cared deeply for her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lon; her son, Ken; her sons-in-law, John Amalio and Wesley McConney; her granddaughter, Barbara Woods; her parents, William and Jennie Newburry; and all eight of her siblings, most recently by her sister, Marilyn Blausius. Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her three daughters and one son-in-law, Carol McConney, Karen and Ken Letcher, and Laura Amalio; 14 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; and 23 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Stroo Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 3, from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 PM, and one hour prior to the funeral service. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM, on Thursday, May 4, in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor J.B. Stutts, officiating. Interment will take place in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
