Norman "Bud" De Vries, age 58, of Grand Rapids, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 14, 2023. Bud was a big fan of Michigan sports teams - Lions and Tigers, and enjoyed fishing and bowling. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Betty De Vries; and brother, George De Vries, Jr. Surviving are Brenda De Vries; children, Daniel (Amber) De Vries, Amanda (Dick) Ring; grandchildren, Ezekiel, Zoey, Kylee, Everly, Jaxon, Austin; sister, Dianna Robinson; and many nieces and nephews. The family will greet visitors prior to the service on Thursday, April 20, from 4 - 6 pm at Stroo Funeral Home, where the memorial service will begin at 6 pm. Pastor Chris Bouma will officiate.
