Ruth Maxine (Zuverink) Pitt, age 94, of Lowell, MI, entered into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, February 23, 2023.  Ruth was born on April 17, 1928, to Henry and Margaret Zuverink in Zeeland, MI. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed cooking.  She ran Auntie Ruth's Restaurant in Wayland, MI.  Together, Ruth and Bob would sing at nursing homes to entertain the residence.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Pitt; son-in-law, Steve Rosso; stepchildren, Pearl Pitt, Cherry Watkins, Georgia Milligan, Robert "Tuney" Pitt; brothers, Wilfurd, Eldon, and Eugene Zuverink; sister, Adeline Rookus; granddaughters, Renee, Angela, Roberta, Georgia, and Caroline.  Lovingly remembering Ruth are her children, Caren Fann, Mary Ann (Bob) Kerridge, Cindy Rosso; son-in-law, Jim Watkins; daughter-in-law, Sandy Pitt; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Esther Scherer; sisters-in-law, Donna Zuverink, Pat Zuverink; many nieces and nephews.  The visitation and funeral will be held at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids, 49508, on Wednesday, March 1, 2023.  Visitation will be from 10 AM - 11 AM.  The service will begin at 11 AM with Mr. Scott Gardener officiating.  Interment will be in Winchester Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Hospice.
