David "Dave" M. Sturgis, age 76, of Grand Rapids, MI, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023.  Dave enjoyed NASCAR, collecting M&M memorabilia, his dogs and traveling.  He was preceded in death by one sister; and three brothers.  Lovingly remembering Dave is his wife of 45 years, Dorothy; children, Bill Sturgis, Laurie (Terry) Sheler, Eric (Kristie) Sturgis; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lloyd (Karen) VanDuyn, Harold (Sue) VanDuyn, Paul VanDuyn, Marcella Flier; many nieces and nephews.  The family will greet visitors on Saturday, January 28, from 2 to 4 PM at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids, 49508.  Interment will be in Blain Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association.
