James Noel VanderWoude, age 77, of Hersery, MI, entered his heavenly home on Thursday, January 12, 2023.  Jim enjoyed playing his guitar, sailing, and spending time with his dog, Buddy. He retired from Wolverine Worldwide after many years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon; daughter, Holly; parents, George and Mae VanderWoude, in-laws, Jim and Margaret Hoffmier; and sister-in-law, Chris Hoffmier; Jim will be deeply missed by his daughter, Heather VanderWoude; brothers and sisters, Earl (Gail) VanderWoude, Adrian (Jackie) VanderWoude, Saralyn Wilson, Dean VanderWoude; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, James (Susan) Hoffmier, Byron Hoffmier, Robin (David) Mitts; and many nieces and nephews.  The family will greet visitors at Woodward Baptist Church, 2160 76th St. SW, Byron Center, MI 49315, on Saturday, January 28, from 10:30 - 11:30 am followed by the funeral service at 11:30 am. Pastor Lance Laker will officiate. Interment will be in Oakdale Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Jim may be made to Woodward Baptist Church.
