Lavonne H. Roach (Christians), age 84, of Byron Center, MI, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, January 21, 2023.  Von enjoyed cooking, baking, going shopping, and playing cards, especially Rummy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; granddaughter, Lindsey (Sivyllis) Vogelaar; son-in-law, Wayne Haveman; brother and sister-in-law, Clares (Dena) Christians, and brother, Rolland Christians.  She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Marcia (Ron) Brock, Sandra (Robert) Dow, Harley Romeyn, Janice (Steve) Huyser; grandchildren, Stephanie (Ethan) Knoper, Troy (Meghan Stamps) Brock, Amanda (Jeffrey Laseur) Brock, Ryan (Sarah) Vogelaar, Courtney (Eric) McKeever, Brandon Romeyn, Amber Romeyn and Ross Eller, Megan (Austin) Friedrich, Jessica Haveman; great grandchildren, Nova, with another one on the way; brothers, Byron (Andrea) Hoogwerf, Jerry (Verla) Blom; sister-in-law, Joyce Christians; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Colby Pals and her son, Scott Pals. The family will greet visitors on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at The Center Church, 2237 84th Street SW, Byron Center, MI 49315, where a service in celebration of Von's life will begin at 12:00 noon. A cake and coffee reception will follow the service at the church. Contributions in memory of Von may be made to The Center Church.
