Sibyll D. Eighmey, 81, beloved mother, grandmother, and aunt, passed away on December 27, 2022, at Spectrum Health Rehab and Nursing in Grand Rapids, MI, after a long illness. Sibyll was a woman of great Faith and was devoted to her family and pets. Prior to living in Michigan, she attended church in Southern California and made great friends there. She kept long friendships from her early years and, after retiring, kept in touch with previous co-workers and friends via Facebook.  She had an optimistic outlook and loved to help with the small behind-the-scenes tasks wherever she might be needed. After her retirement, she was heavily involved with her grandchildren and spent many days doing homework with them and taking them on trips to the park. She loved to spring-clean and surprise them with spotless rooms when they returned from vacation (sometimes to their dismay). She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.  A formal service will not be held; however, donations to Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary in Lake Odessa, MI, where her granddaughter volunteered, would be appreciated.
