On Monday, December 19, 2022, Florence Margaret Koceski, age 97, of Jenison, formerly of Manchester, MI, received her wish to spend Christmas with Jesus in Heaven. Florence was born and raised in St. Joseph, MI, one of nine children born to Berthold and Margarete Dorow. She married Chester C. Koceski, who preceded Florence to Heaven after 62 years of marriage. She was also predeceased by her six brothers and two sisters. Florence will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Kurt and wife Debbie Koceski, Timothy and wife Wendy Koceski; her daughter, Amy and husband Kevin Middendorf; her grandchildren, Scott Koceski, Melanie and husband Matt Anderson, Sean Koceski, Kyle Koceski, Morgan Middendorf, Max Middendorf and fiancée Mikala; a great-grandson, Will, with another great-grandchild on the way; her sisters-in-law, Eleanor Dorow, Gertie Rozanc, Gloria Koceski; and many special nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508, on Friday, December 30, from 4 - 7 PM, and one hour prior to the funeral service at church. The funeral service will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 1481 Baldwin Street, Jenison, MI 49428, on Saturday, December 31, at 11 AM, with Rev. Brian West, officiating.
