Phyllis M. Wissink, age 82, born on December 22, 1939, was a wonderful homemaker who loved the outdoors and the nature that surrounded her every day, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. In every home she lived in, Phyllis' love of homemaking and nature blended together beautifully. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Phyllis is survived by her husband, Glenn, of 63 years; their children, Michael (Ruth) Wissink, Doug Wissink, Sandi (Roger) Nelson, Leah (Scott) Gritter; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 27 from 10 to 11 AM with a short memorial service to follow at 11 AM at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids, 49508. Chaplain John Delger will officiate. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to DSAWM (Down Syndrome Association West Michigan) or Special Olympics Michigan Area 13. |

My sympathies to you all! I have fond memories of of Phyllis playing the organ at First Reformed in Hull and
at Hope in GR! I am thinking of and praying for you
as you grieve your wife, mother and grandmother’s
passing and celebrate her life and that she is
with the Lord!
