Charlie W. Jansen, age 98, of Cutlerville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 17, 2022. Charlie was preceded in death by two sons, Mark Jansen and Tim Jansen; his brothers and sister, Dick Jansen, Guy Jansen, Doris Geels, Ed Jansen, as well as infant twin brothers; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Junior Vos, Delmar VanKooten, Henry and Virginia VanKooten, Ida and Albertus Harsselaar, John DeJong, Daniel VanKooten, Clarence VanKooten, Jean and Ken Vos. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 72 years, Cornelia; children, Allen and Marcia Jansen, Russell and Jill Jansen, Sharon and Mike Gallup, LeAnne Jansen, Susan and Pete VanderWeide; 19 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; his sisters and brother, Berdena Vos, Wilma VanKooten, Melvin and Marilyn Jansen; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Janet Jansen, Nelson Geels, Arlyn Jansen, Delia DeJong, Lois VanWyk, Norma and Carroll Harthoorn, Ed and Judy VanKooten; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids, on Monday, December 19, from 6 - 8 PM, and at Covenant Christian Reformed Church, 7171 Willard Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, on Tuesday, December 20, from 10 - 10:45 AM. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Evan Heerema, will follow at 11 AM Tuesday at the church. The service will be live-streamed on the church website: www.covenant-crc.org. Interment in Blain Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a Christian school of your choice or to the Pine Rest Patient Assistance Fund.
