Helen I. Haight, age 71, of Wyoming, was called to her heavenly home on Friday, January 21, 2022. Helen retired from the State of Michigan Department of Social Services after 23 years of service. Following retirement, she worked for the City of Wyoming HUD Department. She enjoyed shopping, going to the lake and beach, and going on cruises. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Laura Smith; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Larry and Evelyn Haight; and her brother and sister-in-law, James and Killian Smith. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 48 years, Bruce; her sister, Sharon (Jay) Saborowski; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Janet (James) McCormick, Gary (Kim Peck) Haight, Wendel (Jamie Rose) Haight; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 26, from 10 am - 12 noon at Stroo Funeral Home, where the funeral service will follow at 12 noon. Interment will be in Salem Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion.
