Lee Rigiero, age 95, of Caledonia, MI, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, October 18, 2021.  Lee was born on March 18, 1926, to Anthony and Angeline Rigiero in Grand Rapids, MI.  He graduated from Union High School where he played baseball and football.  At the age of 17, he enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps, where he served as a tail gunner in B-24's over the Pacific during WWII.  Lee worked at General Motors Fisher Body Plant #2 until his retirement.  He and his wife, Jeanette, the love of his life, loved to travel together.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette, and two sisters, Dorothy Budzan and Helen Rigiero. Lee was a devoted husband and a wonderful grandfather and great-grandfather and will be dearly missed by his children, Lee (Amanda) Rigiero of Central Point, OR, Raye Jean Rigiero of Nampa, ID, Danette (Allen) Reich of Melba, ID; step-children, Robert (Faye) DeVries of Jenison, MI, Jeanne (Gary) Post of Haslett, MI; grandchildren, Joshua (Amanda), Jessica (Chris), Wayde, Rob (Kimberly), Rachael, Eric (Andrea), Heather (Jeff), Mike, Andrea, Joel (Ashley); 13 great grandchildren; and sister, Dora Shiry of Bay Village, OH.  Visitation will be held at Stroo Funeral Home on Saturday, October 23, from 9:30 - 10:30 AM, and will be followed by the funeral service at 10:30 AM with his son-in-law, Pastor Gary Post, officiating.  Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  Memorial contributions in honor of Lee may be made to Beacon Hill at Eastgate.
