Barbara Jane DeHoek entered into the presence of her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, after a long and blessed life.  Barbara was born in Grand Rapids, MI, on July 24, 1923, to Edward and Jennie Van Hoven, along with her twin sister, Betty, at Blodgett Hospital.  Her husband of 60 years, Edward, preceded her in death, along with her sister, Elzina, and her husband, Marvin Byle, her twin sister, Betty, and her husband, Andrew VanderMeer, her sister, Esther, and her husband, Jack Faber.  She will be lovingly remembered by her youngest sister, Linda, along with her husband, Boyd Berends; in addition to her three sons, Tom and his wife, Judy, Dave and his wife, Tina, Mark and his wife, Brenda; her four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.  Barbara was a charter member of Hillside Community Church of Cutlerville, which she attended for over 60 years, where she was actively involved in a number of ministries and Bible studies.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 18 from 2-4 PM and Monday, April 19, from 11:30 AM - 1 PM, at Stroo Funeral Home with a private ceremony following.  Interment will be at Blain Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hillside Community Church.
