Ronald J. Burrows, age 64, of Kentwood, MI, passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, September 16, 2023.  Ron was a truck driver for many years before going from a trucking route to a paper route, delivering the Grand Rapids Press.  He enjoyed spending time at the 76th St. Truck Stop and was a collector of furniture, cans, and people.  Ron was preceded in death by his parents, John (Yvonne) Burrows, Shirley Burrows; stepbrother, Tim Reed; and great niece, Isabella Burrows.  Lovingly remembering Ron is his wife, Cathy Burrows; children, Jesse (Nichole) Burrows, Shelly (Gary) Carr, Roger (Carissa) Minzey; grandchildren, Racheal (Terry) Peterson, Erin Murphy, Curtis Minzey, Jeramiah (Emily) Minzey, Destiny (John) Minzey, Derrick Minzey; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Daniel (Maria de Los Angeles) Burrows, Diane (Mike) Miller, Barbara (Steve) Derenne, Lawrence (Lori) Burrows, Thomas (Teresa) Burrows, Douglas (Glenda) Burrows; step-siblings, Kelly (Kurt) VanDerWegen, Kenneth Reed, Kevin (Karen) Reed, Nicci (Larry) Hall; sister-in-law, Terri Reed; nieces, nephews, and other family members; special friends, John (Rosemary) Mortensen, Jesse Arizola; and Randy from Swanson's Auto.  The family will greet visitors prior to the service at Stroo Funeral Home (1095 - 68th St. SE), from 11 am - 12 noon, on Monday, September 25, followed by the funeral service at 12 noon.  Chaplain Chad Roedema will officiate.  Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with expenses.
