Larry D. Richards, age 71, of Zeeland, was called to his heavenly home on Friday, September 1, 2023. Larry retired from the US army in 1993 after 20 years of service. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, and going fishing. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Christa; children, Steven Richards, Sandra Richards, Cynthia (Anthony Gonzalez) Richards; granddaughter, Matti Richards Barnhill; and his brother, sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.  The family will greet visitors on Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 12 noon to 1 pm at the Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th Street, SE, Grand Rapids, MI; where the family will begin a service in celebration of Larry's life at 1:00 pm.  Interment will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery.  Contributions in memory of Larry may be made to the American Cancer Society.
