Charles Lynn Gibson, age 82, went to be with his Lord on Friday, May 12, 2023. He was born on September 6, 1940, in Cadillac, MI to Charles and Geraline Gibson. After graduating from Cadillac High School in 1957, he enlisted in the US Navy, where he served as a corpsman for four years. While serving in the Navy, he began corresponding with Mary Winger, and they were married after he returned from the service. He went on to graduate from Aquinas College and worked for many years at Import Motors and later for White and White. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, photography, playing tennis, and spending time with his family. Lynn will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary; his children, Scott (Tammy) Gibson, Kimberly (Jim) Horgan, Christopher (Heather) Gibson; grandchildren, Keith (Laura), Sara (Kam), Carlee, Ashley (Alex), Brittany, Mitchell (fiancée, Carlie), Harper, Cooper; six great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Patricia Gibson, brothers-in-law, Tony Roberto, John Winger; many nieces and nephews. The family will greet visitors on Tuesday, May 16, from 4 to 7 pm and on Wednesday, May 17, from 10 to 11 am at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th Street, SE, where the funeral service will begin at 11 AM. Interment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Hospice.
