Cora Zylstra Hoogerwerf, age 103 years, went to her heavenly home on May 2, 2023. Cora was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Cora loved the Lord and lived her many years serving Jesus. Cora is survived by her children, Mary (John) Paddinge, Jane (Robert) Rhoda, Sally (Frank) Jonkman, Barbara (Royce) Hanberry, and Samuel Zylstra. Cora had 17 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren who she cherished. She also enjoyed visits with Joanie Shea, a special friend. Cora was preceded in death by her first husband, Sam Zylstra; 2nd husband, Frank Hoogerwerf; daughter, Phyllis TenElshof; and grandson, Joel Heydenburg. We want to thank the special and compassionate caregivers at Beacon Hill of Eastgate, Grand Brook Memory Care and Corewell Hospice. What a blessing they have been. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 5:00 PM at Wyoming Park Bible Fellowship Church, 2260 Porter St SW in Wyoming, MI.
