Michael T. Fennema, age 73, of Byron Center, peacefully went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 11, 2022, surrounded by his family. A man of great faith, Mike was active in his church, Hillside Community Church, and serving at Streams Food Pantry. Mike served faithfully in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee in Vietnam. He loved to hunt, golf, fish, travel the world and spend time in the backyard. He enjoyed spending time with his family both in Michigan and North Carolina. Mike will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Carol; sons, Tim (Suzanne) Fennema, Tony (Marti) Fennema; grandchildren, Austine, Tyler, Elle, Erin, Parker, Drew, Davis, Dawson, Jessica (Brent) Whittney, Tiffiani (Brandon), Tyler; great grandchildren, James, Brooklynn, Forrest, Miriam, Rylan, Brahm, Lucille, Arbor, Luca; sisters, Judy (Bill) Booth, Barb Fennema, Linda (Arv) Klein; many nieces and nephews. A graveside committal service with Military Honors will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, October 5, at Winchester Cemetery, 1400 76th St. SW, with Chaplain Roger Bouma and Pastor Ron Kool officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Streams Food Panty, 280 60th St. SE Suite 100, Grand Rapids, MI 49548. |

But, we look to the joy and hope of the resurrection!
Promised by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the
assurance that Mike is in a better place in his heavenly
home. I looked at Mike asq2 a younger brother of which l never had a friend with whom l shared so many
memories!
So sad to hear of Mike’s passing. May you find comfort and peace in all of your memories. You are all in my prayers. What a beautiful legacy he has left behind.

I am so sorry for your loss. Mike was such a nice man. I always had fun talking with him. My sympathy to you and your whole family. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. (We will be out of the state on the 5th)
