It is with deep sadness, but even greater joy that we share the passing of Johannes Pieter In't Hout of Caledonia, MI. He was taken from his earthly home to his Home in glory on Wednesday, January 19, 2022.  Johannes was born in Scheveningen, the Netherlands, on January 22, 1931. He married Hendrika Fehling and loved her beautifully for almost 65 years. He was devoted to the Lord and His Church, serving as elder for many years while in the Netherlands. His love for the Lord was evident to those he met throughout his years at his fish market, in his relationships with friends and family, and his tremendously thankful spirit. They immigrated to the U.S. in 1984, where many new relationships developed. He was a loving husband, father (Pa), Opa to his grandchildren and Opie to his great-grandchildren, and will be deeply missed by all of them, including his wife, Hendrika; sons, Nico and Joan In't Hout, Johan and Marja in't Hout (Netherlands); grandchildren, Nicholas and Julie (CA), Kevin and Jamie, Evie and Drew De Vries, Hans in't Hout (Netherlands); great-grandchildren, Taylor Newhof, Ashlyn, Olivia, Cameron In't Hout, Eva, Sofia, Noelle, and Simeon In't Hout, Arie, Quinn and Ezra De Vries; brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, close friends in the Netherlands, and extended Den Hartigh families. The funeral service will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, January 24 at Caledonia Christian Reformed Church, 9957 Cherry Valley SE, with Rev. Merle Buwalda and Rev. R. Scott Greenway officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on Monday from 10 - 11:30 am at the church. Interment will be in Alaska Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Spectrum Health Hospice.
