Duane I. Tinker, age 91, of Kentwood, entered into the Glories of Heaven on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, surrounded by his loving family, after a short but courageous battle with cancer.  Duane was an employee of GM for 37 years. He instilled a strong work ethic in his children. Duane served his country in the Navy during the Korean War. He was an avid bowler and golfer who always said, "I try". Marie Tinker; his parents, Grant and Bernice Tinker; brothers, Melbourne Marine, Gene, Jack Tinker; and sister, Arlene Armstrong. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Gary (Kath) Tinker, Kris (LeRoy) Doyle, Shelley (Mark) Mol, Doug (Terri) Tinker, Penny (Ed) Graham; 14 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren with one on the way; loving friend, Nancy Clancey; and many nieces and nephews. The family will greet visitors on Thursday, October 14, from 6 - 8 pm at Stroo Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, October 15 at South United Methodist Church, 4500 S. Division Ave.,  with an hour of visitation prior to the service from 10 - 11 am. Interment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery. To Terri and Family,
You are all in my thoughts and prayers. It sounded like Duane was quite a guy and lived a very full life.

May he and the whole family feel a sense of peace!
