It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our Mom, Charlotte Moerdyke. She went peacefully to be with our Dad and the angels Saturday morning, February 27, 2021, at the age of 91. She was a kind and gentle soul who always put others first and never asked for anything in return. Mom had a quiet sense of humor and enjoyed life to the fullest. How do we go on without the stabilizing factor of our family? We have our precious memories and lots of stories to share, but life will be different without our phone calls, lunches, trips to the casino, and family celebrations. She is at peace now and that gives us comfort. We know her spirit is still with us watching over our family from heaven. Char was preceded in death by her husband, Marinus Moerdyke; her parents, Katherine and Herman Meinke; brother, Jack Meinke; sister, Shirley Woodard; and son-in-law, Tom Kleersnyder. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Judy (Dennis) Robydek, Roger (Maggie) Moerdyke, Barbara Moerdyke (Jerry Terpstra), Kathy Kleersnyder; grandchildren, Michelle (Kevin) Robydek, Scott (Lauren) Robydek, Jerry (Jayme) Moerdyke, Phil (Erin) Moerdyke, Jackie Moerdyke, Kyle (Heidi) Kleersnyder, Aaron Kleersnyder; nine great grandchildren, Isadora, Luke, Lucille Robydek, Owen, Trevor, Lily, Emmy Moerdyke, Taya, Jordyn Kleersnyder; and brother, Donald Meinke. Due to current restrictions, a private family service will be held. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A public memorial service will be held in the summer of 2021 |
