Robert S. "Bob" Bristol

Robert Stanton,”Bob,” Bristol passed into glory to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, February 6, 2021.  Bob was born in Flint, Michigan to Robert Dean and Doris Aileen Bristol.  The family moved to Beulah, Michigan where he met Cynthia, his wife of 57 years, when Bob was in the 9^th grade and she in the 7^th grade.  They formed a friendship through music with Bob on trumpet and Cynthia as his piano accompanist.  Bob was a 1963 graduate of the University of Michigan and a member of the Michigan Marching Band.  After graduation, he and Cynthia were married and moved to Grand Rapids where he worked in life insurance and investments.  He enjoyed helping his clients with their financial needs and sharing the Gospel with them.  Bob was preceded in death by his precious daughter, Annalise Aileen.  He was lovingly devoted to his family and will be dearly missed by his wife; wonderful son, Robert Christian Bristol and his wife Amy; his granddaughter, Sophia; many family members, friends and LaGrave Christian Reformed Church members.  Due to current restrictions, a memorial service will be held at a later date.  A favorite Scripture passage to Bob was I Thessalonians 4:13-18 which he memorized.  Important to him were missions and education.
