Roger W. Ranta, age 80, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 24, 2021. Roger enjoyed traveling, tinkering with, and fixing things, shooting his guns, and especially spending time with his family. He worked many years as a Tool and Die maker and was a long time member of Community Christian Reformed Church where he served as deacon and elder. He was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of becoming a pilot and built his own airplane. Roger will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 38 years, Connie; his children, Roxane (Eric) Denman, Roger L. Ranta, Susan Richards, Dennis (Sheryl) Carmer, Barbara Welch, Stephen (Cindi) Carmer, David (Donna) Carmer, Brian Carmer; 17 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 27 from 5 - 7 pm at Stroo Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, January 28 at Community CRC, 150 Burt Ave. SE, Wyoming. A celebration of Roger's life will be held later in the summer. Memorial contributions may be made to Community CRC or Hospice of Holland.
