Gerald A. "Jerry" Bos, age 82, of Byron Center, went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, January 14, 2021. Jerry served his country in the US Army Reserves. He retired from General Motors 36th Street plant after 25 years of service. Since the age of four, Jerry has been a member of Seymour Christian Reformed Church. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years, Ruth (Vander Vennen); his children, Jim and Charise Bos, Tom and Donna Bos, Shari and Nate Versluis, Lisa and Patrick Brown; his grandchildren, Jerad, Reese, and Sam Bos; Lauren, Maria, Andrew, and Matthew Bos; Abbey, Kate, Jake, and Molly Versluis; Conor and Caitlin Brown; his sister, Arlene (the late Martin) Vander Meer; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 17, from 2 - 5 PM at Stroo Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, January 18, at First Byron Center Christian Reformed Church, 8541 Byron Center Ave. SW, with Rev. Henry Admiraal officiating. Interment will be in Winchester Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Seymour CRC Christian Education Fund.
