Mariano and I worked together at West for a few years and he was always super friendly and always talked about how much he loved his family. He was always very proud of all of his children. You will be missed sir. Rest easy friend.

I had the pleasure of working with Mariano for a number of years and saddened to hear of his passing. He brought tremendous passion and enthusiasm to everything that associated himself with, starting with a love and commitment to his family. We will keep Belkis and the entire Acosta family in our prayers.

I worked with Mariano at West. He was a great person to work with, very knowledgeable and very passionate about the work he did. He was also a great resource for soccer refereeing when I was learning to referee for the local soccer organization. He refereed my son's games in High School and was outstanding at this as well. You will be missed. This past June he reached out to me to see how my family and I were doing. That meant a lot to me. Rest in Peace my friend.

I knew Mario as a fellow soccer official who loved "the beautiful game" and dedicated himself to improving his knowledge of its laws and his match performance, which I greatly respected. My sincerest prayers to Mario's family, that they may be comforted in this time.

I hope the memories with and of Mariano lend comfort and solace to his family and friends. Used to officiate soccer matches with Mariano. He loved being involved with the game and those who were part of the game. Thoughts and prayers to his family.
