James H. Tusing, age 81, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, January 7, 2021. Jim served his country in the National Guard. He was a longtime employee of Steelcase prior to retirement. He enjoyed watching baseball and NASCAR. When he was no longer able to attend services at Grand Rapids First, he looked forward to watching on-line church.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Jean, and will be lovingly remembered by his children, Lori (Rick) Krause, Deborah Newsted (Mark), Thomas Tusing (Tiffany), Jamilyn Tusing (Ron); his grandchildren, Bonnie Jo, Malissa, Aric, Alisha,and Tommy; his great grandchildren, Gabbie, Natalie, Jax, Taite, Embree, Abraham, William, Olivia, Owen, and Ella; his brother, Ed (Sue) Tusing; and his sister, Patricia Ingersoll. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2021, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Stroo Funeral Home. Due to current restrictions, the funeral service will be private. Interment will be in Dutton Cemetery. The family extends special thanks to Kindred Hospice, especially Wade and Missy, for their loving care. In honor of Jim, memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice.
