Pauline Jean Schott, age 95, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away on Christmas morning, December 25, 2020, and went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ. Pauline was born March 27, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois to James and Maria Shingola. Pauline will be remembered most for possessing a huge loving heart by always placing the needs of others before her own; giving, never taking; and a loving mother. She was formerly an active member of St. James Catholic Church in Grand Rapids. She is preceded in death by nine siblings, and is survived by her son, Stephen Schott;  granddaughter, Ellen Arendsen; grandson, Stephen Schott Jr.; four great grandchildren; sisters, Louise Szczepanek, Rosemary Paniwozik; sister-in-law, Barbara Shingola; in addition to many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, no public visitation or funeral service will be held at this time. A memorial gathering will be planned at a later date. A private committal service has taken place in Rosedale Memorial Park.
