Louis Henry Stansberry Sr. was born on February 22, 1949 to Edna Mae & Miles Stansberry in Independence, LA. In 1958, his parents moved him and his siblings to Benton Harbor, MI. He attended and graduated from Benton Harbor Highschool in 1967. Louis then enlisted & served in the U.S. Marine Corps & was honorably discharged in 1974. Shortly after, he moved to Colorado where he obtained a degree in diesel technology and an associate degree in criminal justice. Louis then became employed by Yellow Trucking Company. Years later, he relocated with the company to Utah & after 25 years, Louis retired. Only a moment you stayed, but what an imprint your footprints have left on our hearts. In 2009, Louis reunited with the love of his life, Carolyn, whom he married later that year. Louis, soon after, became a member & served as a deacon of New Covenant Community Church of God where he devoted countless time and he was dearly loved. Louis was a family man. He loved fishing, camping, and boating. Louis was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Louis Stansberry was called home on December 4, 2020 at the age of 71. Louis was proceeded in death by his father: Miles Stansberry Sr, mother: Edna Mae Williams, brother: Larry Stansberry, daughter: Tracy Stansberry, granddaughter: Amanda Hackney, great granddaughter: Sha’Tari Razor, great- grandson: Markese Dortch and ex-wife: Rosie Parker. His life will forever be cherished in the lives of his wife: Carolyn Stansberry, brothers: Miles (Gloria) Stansberry, Andrew (Shirley) Stansberry of Benton Harbor, MI, Calvin (Toni) Stansberry of CA, daughters: Michelle Edwards of Kingston, NC, Shereatha Williams of Jonesboro, AR, Stephanie Chandler of Grand Rapids, MI, sons: Louis Stansberry Jr. of Cleveland, OH & Mark (Mary) Chandler of Grand Rapids, MI, grand children: Toni Dortch of Benton Harbor, MI, Richard Miller, Tiffany Miller, & Jenisa Stansberry of Cleveland, OH, Brandi Allaway, Mark Chandler Jr., Marshelle Chandler, Tatyana Chandler, Marcedes Chandler, all of Grand Rapids, MI, greatgrandchildren Sanaa Allaway & Matteo Chandler both of G.R., MI
