Bang Huynh of Grand Rapids, 58, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2020. He was born August 7, 1962 to Hung Huynh and Khanh Vuong in Vietnam. Bang was lovingly married to Gi Huynh for 31 years. Together they have one daughter, Stephanie Huynh.

Bang had a lifelong career in the manufacturing industry. In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling, watching movies and spending time with his wife and daughter. Bang was always there to help his family with household projects and enjoyed learning new things. He brought light and humor into any room he entered. Bang was loved and will be missed by many.

Bang is survived by his loving wife, Gi Huynh; daughter, Stephanie (fiancée, Chuck); his brothers, Vo (Linh), Andy (Bich Yen); sisters, Huong (Lai), Yen (Khoa), Tuyet (Tri), Becky (Tom); his in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews. Bang was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 3, from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM at Stroo Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of West Michigan.

I worked with Bang for 25 years at Rowe AMI. He was such a warm wonderful soul. One of my favorite people that I have ever crossed paths with. As a co work Bag was the best teammate you could hope for. He was there everyday on time and stayed until the job was done. He was a bright wonderful human. I haven’t seen Bang since Rowe downsized us but I am Crushed by his passing. My heart goes out to his family. I will miss you my friend!

If you knew Bang, you can't forget him. He share with me his story coming from Vietnam. Drama but finally arrived to the US. Great friend, humble, smart, funny and he was trusted with work. He was reliable. His story almost parallel with mine and we did connect quick. Rest in peace my friend. I am praying for the family. I went this noon for visitation and met his wife and daughter. Bang was a quick friend at Borisch as we started around the same time. He was so liked by everyone he worked with and will be missed every day. It will never be the same for me to walk down to break or lunch and speak with him. Miss you so much Bang!

Bang and I started about the same time at Borisch in which our paths crossed daily. He was such a positive person and very easy going. He was great at his job and even better as someone to work with every day. I will miss his “Ricks here” when going down to the break room for our shared break. Thought and prayers to Bang’s family. Bang is missed every day as he made a positive impression on everyone he worked with.

My heart goes out to family and friends. Deeply saddened by this. He was a wonderful human being with a stellar work ethic. I always enjoyed his sense of humor, especially in the morning. Bang had a way with joking with me which made me smile every single time!! He is at peace now, but my human side will miss that part of his character.

I have worked with Bang for over 10 years. He was someone who brought the word fun into work. But even with fun he was a hard worker and dedicated to his job. He was always so caring towards others and will be someone who we will miss daily. May God provide for the reader of this message strength in the upcoming days, weeks and years ahead.
