Edward Stanley Milanowski, age 91, of Alaska, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, November 11, 2020. Edward served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War in the 187th Airborne Special Ranger Group, receiving a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart during the Battle of Pork Chop Hill. He retired from American Seating after 50 years of service. He was a member of the Polish Heritage Society, UAW, Catholic War Veterans, American Legion Post #239 Cascade, and Holy Family Catholic Church. He enjoyed playing his Concertina and was a Steam Engine enthusiast. He was preceded in death by his Polish immigrant parents, Jacob and Josephine Milanowski; son, Victor; brothers, Victor, Conrad and Ted. Edward will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Joan; son, Matthew Milanowski; grandchildren, Jessica and Jordan; sister, Stella Hilaski; brother, Stanley (Sharon) Milanowski; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Heffron; brother-in-law, Bob (Barbara) Crowley; many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at a later date. Contributions in memory of Edward may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church. |
