Stan Sinnema, age 84, of Byron Center, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, November 15, 2020, following a long struggle with Alzheimer's Disease. Stan dedicated his life to caring for others as a Medic in the U.S. Army, as an RN at Pine Rest, and at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans. After retirement, he was a faithful volunteer at the New Life Thrift Store. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, traveling, and attending his grandchildren's school activities and sporting events. Stan will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Carrie; children, Deb (Rick) Rosema, Doug (Jan) Sinnema, Dave (Donna) Sinnema, Diane (Brad) Lanser; 16 grandchildren and their spouses; and 20 great grandchildren. The family expresses special thanks to Byron Manor and Kindred Hospice for their loving and compassionate care. Private family services are being held. Interment will be in Winchester Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to South Christian High School or Unity Christian High School.
