John was well known and respected for his lifelong involvement with the Iconic Plank Road Farm and the production and marketing of Lawn Patch.  He was a friend to many in the farming community in Michigan as he sold them their corn. He was proud to be a member of the outstanding basketball team, "The Wayland 5“ that played in the state play-offs in 1961. Blair- I am so sorry! We have many memories of your dad. Including shell station lunch & dinners? Lol on our way to the beach. Great times at gun lake and on the big boat. He had a huge welcoming heart I will never forget. Thinking of you and miss you too!

My dad, Bish, and Fred were business partners in Cowbell Seeds and Plank Road Farm. I knew and worked with John and his brothers. So sorry for his passing.
