Jack Henry Spaak, 94, of Grand Rapids, was called home to the Lord on Friday, August 28, 2020.

 He was a shipping and receiving foreman at Imperial Metal Products before he retired. A U.S. Navy Veteran, he served on the U.S.S. Regulus in the Pacific during World War II. He was a referee of high school football and basketball in the West Michigan area for over 40 years. He enjoyed golf, watching University of Michigan football and basketball, and being at Lake Michigan. He was a member of Alger Park CRC for many years.

Surviving are his wife, Harriet Kwant Spaak; three children, Randall (Patricia) Spaak of Cedar Rapids, IA, Judith (Craig) Sytsma of Byron Center, MI, and Ruth Ann (Mark) Mokma of Hudsonville, MI; as well  as eight grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by five siblings, Trudy Fritsma, Frank, Bob, Jim, and Tom Spaak, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Bob Rodenhouse.

Funeral services will be held outdoors at Rest Lawn Memorial Park, 3450 Eastern Avenue SE on September 11, 2020 at 1:00 pm. Attendees are asked to be considerate of others and practice COVID guidelines.

Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice, 2100 Raybrook SE, #300, Grand Rapids, MI 49546.
