Lorraine Walbridge, age 96, of Dutton, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, August 29, 2020. Lorraine was a Godly woman who loved the Lord and taught by example. She was a Sunday School teacher for 42 years. She packed medical barrels for Bangladesh and was a Rosie the Riveter during WWII. She enjoyed golfing and bowling. Lorraine also was the manager of the Walbridge Family Farm. Family meant the world to Lorraine and they were the focus of her life. Lorraine, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, will be lovingly remembered by her children, Ron (Cheryl) Walbridge, Sherry (Bert) Damstra, Curtis (Kim) Walbridge, Marie (Bob) Cogswell; grandchildren, Brent (Andrea) Walbridge, Bradley (Melissa) Walbridge, Aaron Damstra, Laurel Idema, Sarah (Dan) Oberst, Katie (Cory) Pendrick, Lisa (Jose) Gonzalez, Jason (Megan) Cogswell, Laura (Joe) Pomorski; great grandchildren; Alexa, Nick, Bryce, Madisyn, Ethan, Noah, Alayna, Adelyn, Landen, Jenna, Aubree, Khloe, Charleston, Lucas, Brendon, Hudson, Ian, Gabrielle; brother, Robert (Carol) Diefenbaker; several nieces and nephews. The memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, September 13, at Good News Baptist Church, 6830 Eastern Ave. SE, with Rev. Brian Cederquist and Pastor Terry Frazine officiating. Memorial contributions in honor of Lorraine may be given to Faith Hospice. The family will greet relatives and friends from 1:30 - 3:00 pm prior to the service. |

So faithful, kind, and selfless. Such a servants heart and always a smile for me. I am thankful for the godly women that were my examples during all my life at Good News Baptist Church. She was definitely one of them! She will be missed in her pew near the back. May the family be comforted by the many wonderful memories of their family life together with her.
One day soon we all shall have one fantastic reunion with all our friends and loved one's. What A Day That Will Be !!!
