After winning several hard fought battles, Tim lost his war against head and neck cancer. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Thursday, July 9, 2020. Tim is survived by his wife of 42 years, Pamela (Ohlerich) Murphy; daughter, Lindsay H. Murphy; son, Brett T. Murphy and his wife, Pamela Rojas-Murphy and their children, Connor and Penelope Murphy; his parents, Gerald and Patircia Murphy; brother, Mike (Kim) Murphy; sisters, Teri (Brad) Gier, Julie Maskell all of Jackson, MI; as well as several other family members.

He continued his career path with positions at Diecast Corp, Thompson Electric, and Shrader Machine. He chose to move his family to Grand Rapids in 1987 for a better career and future opportunities for himself and his family. He became a Programmable Controls Engineer holding positions at GM, AutoBond, Steelcase, and finally at Kendall Electric. He retired from Kendall in September 2019 after 22 years as both Account Manager and Sales Manager.
Tim's was a life well lived. He was strong in his Catholic faith and values, and lived his life accordingly. He led by example and greatly believed in giving back. He was a mentor to many and always eager to volunteer. Most recently he was elected as Chairman of the Patient Family Advisory Council for Spectrum Health to help current and past cancer patients navigate their way through treatments and recovery.
Tim was a good and faithful servant and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
