Pauline M. Hoolsema, age 89, quietly passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2020, and joined her husband, Don, to whom she was married for 53 years before his passing in 2003. She is survived by her children, Dr. Robert and Mary Hoolsema, Donna and Charles Bosscher, David and Joanne Hoolsema, and Thomas and Jody Hoolsema; as well as nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Pauline was a longtime member of Fuller Avenue Christian Reformed Church. As a dedicated wife and mother, she worked various jobs when younger to help support her children's Christian education. She had a subtle sense of humor and a kind heart. She showed great resilience to the losses and illnesses she encountered. A graveside committal service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 6, at Woodlawn Cemetery (2530 Kalamazoo Avenue SE), with Rev. Dr. Philip De Jonge officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Fuller Avenue CRC or Feed the Children. Pauline's family expresses sincere thanks to the staff at Sunset Manor and Emmanuel Hospice for their loving and compassionate care.
