John Henry Huisman, age 92, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, April 22, 2020. John was born at home in Paris Township, Michigan, one of 10 children to Johannes and Henrietta Huisman. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and lived a full and rewarding life. He was a longtime member of Kelloggsville Christian Reformed Church serving in many various capacities. John will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 69 years, Lucille; four children, Steve (Jan) Huisman, Pam (Rick, deceased) Mulder, Marcia (Daryl) Andringa, and Carl (Lisa) Huisman; a special brother in law, Ray (Judy) VanDam; 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, as well as many nieces and nephews.  He loved working at his self-owned print shop, fishing, playing games and puzzles, and enjoying time with family and friends.  John was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed. Heartfelt sympathy to Mrs. Huisman and the family in the passing of John. Though it has been over 40 years since I attended Kelloggsville C.R.C.,his ready smile, overall friendliness, and apt words have not been forgotten. He is now in heaven. Praise God.
Sincerely, Bob Gritter oldest son of George and Cladys

Sincere sympathy to Lucille and family in the loss of such a good man. John was very special as a neighbor when we lived on Lyles Street. We will never forget all the work he did in our home there to make our basement into a family room. He always cared about our kids also. We will miss him at Kellogsville Church also as Ron would visit with him every Sunday during coffee time after the service. Love, Ron and Mary DeRuiter

My condolences to the Huisman family.
I am so glad that we met him in 2016, he reminded me of my grandfather Derk Huisman.
Especially the heartfelt prayer he pronounced before the meal we have at the Huisman reunion.
It is very sad to have to bury a beloved one in this ‘covid-19’ time.
I wish you all God's nearness.
