Alberdeen "Dee" TeSlaa, age 80, of Cutlerville, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 1, 2020. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Dee was a member of Cutlerville East Christian Reformed Church, where she served as an organist. She enjoyed music and gave piano lessons to many students through the years. She had a servant's heart where she provided many Sunday dinners of roast beef and mashed potatoes for family and supported her grandchildren in their extracurricular activities. In addition to caring for her family, she worked as a medical coder at Pine Rest. Dee was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Mary; sister, Hildrene Graveling, and sister-in-law, Bonnie Schmidt. She will be dearly missed by her husband of 61 years, Marvin; her children, Russell (Gayle) TeSlaa, Yvonne (Mike) Veenstra, Rodney TeSlaa, Valerie (Jeff) Gorter, Mark (Stephanie) TeSlaa; 15 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; her sister, Anna Marie (Vern) Laninga; brothers, John (Sharon) Schmidt, Elmer Schmidt; and many nieces and nephews. Due to the current health conditions and restrictions, a memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment in Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pine Rest Patient Assistance Fund.
