Kimberly Sue Bruin, age 56, of Lake Odessa, a loved daughter, sister, mother, and grandma, went home to be with her Savior on Friday, January 17, 2020. Kim was a wonderful mentor and a dear friend to the bus drivers of Kentwood where she worked for 25 years. A devoted and loving mother, she will be deeply missed by her wonderful children, Tyler and Shannon Bruin, Matt and Nicole Grasman, Morgen and Amanda Heetderks; four beautiful grandchildren, James and Charlie Bruin, Savannah and Nolan Grasman; her parents, Jim and Shirley Heyboer; her brothers, Mike and Shelby Heyboer (Caitlyn, Samuel, Sydney), Bruce and Leslie Heyboer (Damon, Jocelyn, Dakota), Dave and Michelle Heyboer (Olivia, Tori, Andrew); and significant other, Missy Beard and her son, Lucas. Visitation will be held from 3 - 5 and 7 - 9 pm on Sunday, January 19, at Hillside Community Church, 1440 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508 where the funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday, January 20, 2020. Interment will be in Winchester Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation or South Christian High School, 7979 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Byron Center, MI 49315. Romans 8:38-39
