Alexander S. Danigelis, aged 85, went to be with his Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, and he was ready!  Dad was a man who understood fully the vastness of God’s grace and mercy. He was a gentle, sweet man, much like his earthly father, Samuel Danigelis. Some of the things he loved most were God’s word, his wife, kids, grandkids and great grands. He was a family man.  Alex was witty and musically gifted. He and mom instilled that love for music in us kids.  Both Alex and Thelma loved missions and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  We miss dad so much, but we are also very much at peace knowing He is with his Lord, whom he loved and served in this life.  We look forward to the day we will be reunited with him in Heaven.  Meanwhile, we want to honor his life by carrying the torch of the gospel that dad passed on to us. Alex was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Aphrodite (Hank) Drelles; and brother and sister-in-law, George (Leah) Danigelis. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 64 years, Thelma; children, Steve (Denise) Danigelis, Sam (Kathy) Danigelis, Ben Danigelis, Leilani (Bill) Hulst; grandchildren, Julia (Luke) Burley, Andreya (Jake) Moerdyke, Amanda (Caleb) Schutter, Austin VanLaar, Shelby VanLaar, Anders Danigelis, Alyssa (John) Shumay, Aaron Danigelis, Andrew Danigelis, Aiden Danigelis, Nathan Danigelis, Jared Danigelis, Adriana Danigelis, Josh (Leslie) Hulst, Matt (Tracy) Hulst, Melissa Townsend, Katie Hulst; great grandchildren, Mackinze, CJ, Evangeline, Johnny, Elizabeth, Joelle, Kristen, William, Mason, Ivy, Esther, Logan, Leland; sister, Christine Encelewski; and many nieces and nephews near and far. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 13, at Ada Bible Church Kentwood Campus, 2045 68th Street, SE; with Pastor Carl Bashlor and Pastor Dave Geroux, officiating. Interment in Alaska Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Alexander may be made to David's House Ministries, Wyoming, Michigan, or American Decency Association, Fremont, Michigan. The family will greet relatives and friends on Sunday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. at Stroo Funeral Home and Monday, prior to the service from 10 - 10:45 am at the church.

My longtime friend Pamela and I knew Sam, Kathy, and Leilani many years ago before they were married. We were sad to read of your Dads passing, and wanted to send our condolences. To you and your entire family. We do have problems remembering some names from those days at Olgas. But we do remember all of you. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
Fondly. Pam and Sue

Alex lived out what he believed. He was a great example to me in my growing up years and early years of my pastoring. Brenda and I were privileged to have him sing at our wedding. I thank God for his godliness and the pleasure of knowing his family. Alex and Thelma always went together. Thankful to spend time with Steve, Sam, and Benny. Lani was just a little kid running around church. :) Fond memories and hope filled reunion with Jesus. God bless you all, Joe
