Martha V. (Owens) VanWuffen, age 80, of Byron Center, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 15, 2019, and entered her heavenly home.  Martha worked at General Motors for 29 years and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Norm; her children, Cindy (Paul) Anderson, Kimberly Crowner, Rodney (Bridgette) Horvath, Jeffrey (Mary Jo) Horvath, Gary (Amy) VanWuffen, Sherry (Tom) Carney, Terry (Michelle) VanWuffen; 22 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; brother, Charles (Maryann) Owens; sister, Carrie (Don) Moore; sister-in-law, Jean (Bill) Belcher; many nieces and nephews. The family will greet visitors on Thursday, December 19, from 11 am - 12 noon at Stroo Funeral Home (1095 68th St. SE), where the funeral service will begin at 12 noon. Interment will be in Winchester Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 4081 Cascade Rd SE Suite 400, Grand Rapids, MI 49546 or Spectrum Health Hospice, 750 Fuller Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.

She was my 2nd mother for many of my teenage years. She held my hand when my first born was coming. She took me in when I had no where to go. I loved you then and I always will.
