Sally R. Bullis, age 93, passed away on November 15, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, F. Russell Bullis on January 28, 2018. Their union in marriage was over 71 years, after Russ had served in the Army Air Corp in WWII and Sally waited two years for him. Russ later also served in the Korean War in the Navy on the USS Helena. Sally had a career at Spartan Stores as a supervisor to 35+ women for many years, retiring in 1981. Russ was supervisor in the Kentwood Post Office before retiring in 1981. Russ and Sally enjoyed nearly 30 years of retirement in Mission, TX, where they volunteered, golfed, and enjoyed many friends and activities. As their family, we have been blessed with the example of their love and commitment to each other. We cherish our memories! Surviving are their children, Russ (Betsy) Bullis, Gail (Bob) Weaver, Laura (Fred) Spica, exchange student daughter, Marta Barbosa; grandchildren, Beth (Herb) Engman, Scott (Heather) Bullis, Pastor Rob (Joy) Weaver, Pastor Joel (Heidi) Weaver, Paul (Becky) Weaver, Dan Weaver, Karri Spica, Mark Spica, Alexander Barbosa; and 18 great-grandchildren.  A memorial service celebrating the lives of Sally and Russ will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, December 1, at Stroo Funeral Home. Interment has taken place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Our families wish to express sincere appreciation to the caring staff of Cambridge Manor and Spectrum Health Hospice who have provided such loving care. Memorial contributions may be made to Georgetown / Cambridge Manors, Spectrum Health Hospice or to a charity of your choice. The family will greet visitors on Sunday prior to the service from 12:30 - 2 pm followed by the memorial service.
