Howard John Sytsma, aged 81, of Caledonia, passed peacefully into the arms of His Savior, Jesus. Howard proudly served in the Michigan Army National Guard. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn; children, Rachelle (Lynn) Stoepker, Kurt (Amy) Sytsma, Brian (Wendy)Sytsma; grandchildren, Amy (Peter) DeKievit, Kenneth (Michelle) Stoepker, Daniel (Ashley) Stoepker, Brad Sytsma, Matthew (Melissa) Sytsma, Kailey Sytsma, Nick Sytsma, Chloe Sytsma, Patrick Sytsma;  step- grandchildren, Alicia Wobma, Darek Wobma, Lindsey Nelson, Leah Nelson, Aaron Nelson; and five great-grandchildren. A Celebration Service will be held 11:00 am Monday, July 22, 2019 at Byron Center Bible Church, 8855 Byron Center Ave. SW; with visiting starting at 10 am; luncheon to follow. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Dr. TenHaaf's Hospital: Centre De Sante Lumiere Cayes, Haiti.  Mail to: 2886 Clyden Ave SW, Wyoming MI 49519 or Byron Center Bible Church Haiti Fund.
